Advice for the big decisions. Payroll on time.

Buying, selling, changing your structure (how the business is set up) or raising money? You get a partner across the table, not a report in your inbox. We also run your pay. Every pay run, super payment and report to the ATO (the tax office) goes out when it should.

What's included

Two jobs, one team.

Advice for the decisions that shape the business. Payroll for the pay runs that never stop. Both follow Australian rules.

  • Advice on buying or selling a business. We show you how to set up the deal and what it means for your tax.
  • Pricing, changes to your structure, funding and succession (handing the business on). You work each one through with a partner before you commit.
  • Pay runs on your cycle. We keep payslips, PAYG withholding (the tax taken out of wages) and leave balances up to date.
  • Single Touch Payroll (STP, the pay report sent to the ATO each pay day). We lodge it with every pay run.
  • Super guarantee (the super you must pay for each employee). We work it out on each pay run and pay it when it is due.
  • Payroll tax (a state tax on bigger wages bills). We register you if your business needs it.
  • STP finalisation (telling the ATO your staff's pay figures for the year are final). We do it after 30 June, so your staff's income statements are ready at tax time.

Who it's for

Owners with a decision to make, or people to pay.

Often both at once.

Owners facing a deal

You are about to buy, sell, bring in a partner or borrow. You want the numbers and the tax cost before you sign.

Employers with staff to pay

You have staff on wages. You want someone who knows the rules to do your pay runs, super and STP.

Businesses planning a handover

Handing the business on to family or a buyer takes years to do well. We start early. We update the plan as the business changes.

How it works

Three steps, then the advice and the pay runs start.

The same steps for a one-off decision or a pay run every fortnight.

  1. A conversation

Tell us what is coming up: a deal, a decision, or a change in staff numbers. We ask what is due, what you have already tried and what you need to know first.

  2. A fixed scope in writing

For advice, we list the questions we will answer and what it costs. For payroll, we set out the pay cycle, what we lodge and when. You agree to it in writing before any work starts.

  3. The same team all year

The partner who advised on the deal also answers the phone at the next pay run. One person knows your file. You can reach them by phone, text or WhatsApp. You get an answer the same day.
